Spring time on unnamed Montana river.

Up in Montana, The Dog likes the Mighty Whitey on the business end of his rod, and we like our dogs to carry a big stick.
I've yet to meet a brownie that wouldn't fall for a scrumptuous san juan worm!

everyone found someway to pass the time

Bottom line water was high, as were our spirits because we were not at work and we were fishing in Montana. This is the first, of hopefully many posts on the joys of catching the wily trout on the fly, and the pursuit of adventure and where to find it!

  2. Excellent blog! Like the pix of Mags and her sticks! Thought of doing a posting on the procedures to secure rod & reel to the boat...as they don't float! Sorry but I couldn't resist. Won't be fishing in MN any time soon.

  3. Clay - aka The Doodler - your blog is - to say the least - Mind Bloggeling! Shocked to see that you have failed to mention the wily and scrappy perch - maybe next time. The Wiley Old Codger.
